After a truly miserable night I had an epiphany this morning. It wasn't a new thought by any stretch of the imagination, but for some reason this time it clicked. I'm still not happy, but I guess 'content' will do for now.
Sometimes other people's happiness needs to come before your own, and I'd be a pretty shitty person to deny her the same joy she brought me for the last two and a half years.
