What stalks me at night
Which leads to yelling at air
When I’m fast asleep?
------------------------
So my roommate informed me today via email that I was apparently talking and yelling in my sleep so much he had to come in repeatedly to check on me. I remember nothing. And this is hardly a common occurrence for me. I remember my parents telling me as a kid that I used to talk in my sleep the first few nights we'd spend at the cottage in Maine during the summer, but I have no knowledge of getting so worked up that I yelled.
It is frankly a little disturbing.

Don't eat the hash browns
It's just grease masquerading
As actual food.
------------------------
I still have a soft spot (plus a clogged artery or two) in my heart for McDonald's Sausage Biscuit with Egg, but that thing they call a hash brown that comes with is just straight up disgusting. That's why I always order an apple pie with my breakfast. It may not be healthy for me, but it's certainly healthier than the alternative.

Ice cream for others
Sounds like a friendly gesture
But I gain the weight.
---------------------------
I've been on an ice cream kick for a couple of months now, making it mostly for friends' birthdays, though I do withhold the occasional batch for myself. Recently I've made Mint Chocolate Chip, Cookies & Cream, Vanilla, Chocolate, Mango Sherbet, multiple batches of Salted Caramel, and a surprisingly good Banana Red-Hots. And if there's a bit more than will fit in a quart container? Well...

You Can't Go Home Again
But apparently you CAN return to previous places of employment.
After a year-and-a-half exploring the world of working in non-profit theatre, I received an unexpected call from my old boss asking if I'd be willing to return to the television studio, and I ultimately took him up on his offer.
While I loved the people I was working with and the work itself, the schedule at the theatre was wrecking havoc with my life outside of work and I had already started looking for alternative employment when my old boss called. So it was fortuitous timing indeed.
It's not a long term solution, and I only plan to spend a year or two at the most before finding something else that will better fit my taste, but I'm grateful for the opportunity. I've got my weekends and friends back with money to spend on things to do with them.
Right now that involves lots of theatre and drinks/dinner with friends.
Good times. :)
