If at first you don’t succeed...

It's now two months into the New Year so I thought I'd take a look back and see how I'm doing on my new year’s resolutions; apparently not so good.  And now that Pilot Season is in full swing (and will be for another week or two) everything is going to get thrown out of the window.

1. Have at least three uninterrupted two-month spans of going to the gym at least three times a week.  I actually got within one day of my first two-month span and then got lazy.  *sad trombone*

2. Volunteer once a month.  Nope.

3. See a play every two weeks.  Not so much.  I think the only play I've seen this year is The Glorious Ones, which was put up by my girlfriend.

4. Go vegetarian for at least two weeks.  I think I managed it for one week.  Maybe.

5. Make a video and post it online every two weeks.  Nope, but that should be solved pretty quickly.  I finally recorded "Touch My Brownies" as a spoken piece (since singing it wasn’t working), so I just need to tweak the sound file and then get Jeff to help film it.  And I finished an idea for a short spoof of a scene from "Walk Hard."

6. Post to my blog at least once a week.  Yes!  At least up until the last two weeks when things got crazy at work.

7. Cook a new dish at least once every two weeks.  Yes!  And hopefully in another week or two I can get back to it.  There are a couple of dishes I’m raring to make (Pineapple Marinated Pulled Pork w/ Hoisin Pineapple BBQ Sauce, Spicy Stewed Beef with Creamy Cheddar Grits, and a few other recipes from Cooks’ Illustrated.
